The Boxed-up Library Thing
There are now more than 2140 books registered with Library Thing.
I am busy boxing many of them for temporary storage as I prepare for new attic stairs. The new stairs won't allow shelves more than about 9 inches deep against that wall. I see some shelves a bit over 9 inches deep, but I will wait to get the stairs before I buy any.
Three bookshelves will have to go for now: a short one (that I am stowing and registering now) and two taller ones. Where the bookshelves go, I don't know, but hope to find homes for about half the books in the more shallow shelves.
I am pleased at my collection--movies, history, literature, art, geography, music. These are topics I ran into just as registered books in the short bookcase.
I need to go through our books from time to time to sit down with them and read a little from them!
