All my life I had problems with my knees.
I found the best thing I can do is stretch my legs to resolve the pain. This worked for years after I was first examined by a doctor who said I had "Osteomacia Patella" which is latin for knee problems! Duh! No remedy provided by the doctor, but I found it was better if I used my legs and stretched them.
Yesterday, though, my right knee started acting up. I don't recall how it started, but it started at some point between me getting into my truck at the St. Johns Deli and Grocery Store and driving to Freddies.
It is better now after resting, but I can still feel a background pain.

My computer would not connect to the internet yesterday after having been off for the day while I was at work. I tried several things. Wasn't sure if it was the cable or the connection into the computer itself.
So my mission at Freddies, besides getting strawberries, was to get a 25 foot ethernet cable with the connectors so I could patch to the router with another cable. The cable I had was repaired where cats chewed it and who knows what else could be wrong with it.
Once I got back with the cable I unpacked it from the laceration box (what I call those plastic boxes that need to be cut open on the edges, resulting in razor sharp plastic that can easily cut into skin) and waved it around my computer. Suddenly the internet connection was made. Just threatening to use a new cable fixed the problem!
That, and spending $16.

Work was only partly satisfying. I released the release candidate for testing over the next few weeks. This is the one where I documented all the changes there. Before that we had an hour code review and got through everything we requested (well, I requested for us).

Two glass negatives from Brown Brothers will soon arrive here. Finally got the invoice from the BB successor, Evans. Saved a little on postage. One is New Jersey Governor Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat, with two former NJ governors, both Republicans. Had to be around 1911 or so, but don't know anything about the event. The other photo was of Arizona's first governor after it became a state. Governor Hunt advocated for changes in prisons which became the theme for a movie starring Milton Sills called "The Honor System." To-day most people have no idea who he was, so I got it for the the initial asking price. The governor triumpherate cost a little more. There were actually two photos from the event. I was outbid on the other.

Two DVDs arrived yesterday from purchases on Ebay: Tempo and Runaway Jury. I may have seen RJ but not Tempo. Marisa tells me Tempo is a poor movie, even with Melanie Griffith and Hugh Dancey. RJ can't be too bad with Gene Hackman. Both were cheap.

Next Monday is Labor Day. I am looking forward to a day off: will give me a chance to actually get caught up with house work.

I ran the dishwasher last night. Marisa stayed up and when the dishwasher finished she disconnected it. Now to empty it and fill it again. Still need to handwash glasses, mugs, utensils, plastic bowls and lids...and pots and pans.

By now the representative from NeilKelly was supposed to have met with the project manager for our back room project. Maybe the plan changes for the windows are done. So we should have costs and potential schedules now for the work. Should is the key word, as the whole process has been quite elongated.
