Snax

Almost a month later and I finally have time to process information about a nice snack I had on Alaska airlines coming home from San Jose, California. https://byroncaloz.livejournal.com/863649.html

Stellar Snacks puts out a vegan butter braid with Sea Salt, baked in a plant at Carson City, Nevada. I ate the small bag of the snacks with iced ginger ale. I kept the bag so I could check it out online.

By their website, https://community.stellarsnacks.com, the company is run mostly by women but has a diverse leadership, putting out small 0.7 ounce bags of various pretzel like snacks for airlines (not sold for retail) and larger sized bags. The bags for retail are in 0.5 ounce and 16 ounce sizes. Simply Stellar (the kind I had on the plane), Bold and Herby, Maui Monk, and Sweet and Sparky are in both sizes. Petite Pretzels is only sold in 0.5 ounce bags.

They can be purchased on-line for $6.99 for the 16 ounce bags, but there is shipping/handling. In the Portland area are sold by Cost Plus World Foods exclusively, which actually has no locations inside Portland.

It would be a good opportunity to check out World Foods next time I go to Kaiser Hospital. They are at 8626 SE Sunnyside Rd, Clackamas, OR 97015, on the other side of the interstate highway. As you drive West, World Foods is in the shopping center named "Clackamas Promenade" to the left (South) and is located in the elbow of the building between Kohls and Target. There is a Stanfords and Olive Garden restaurant sharing the same large parking lot.

The store doesn't carry every type and is out of stock on some of what it does carry. They don't carry Simply Stellar. Bold and Herby is out of stock. Maui Monk apparently is there.
