Motel in Oakland, California. Robberies and thefts. The motel was ok, but at a nearby restaurant our rental car window was bashed. There for a cosplay thing and to visit Missions.

Motel in South San Francisco, California. Safe, secure but behind a gas station. There to visit Niles, California and San Franciso and San Bruno. Early part of 2018 Sabbatical (Sept).

Tiki Motel, Medford, Oregon (a terrible motel) with Marisa.
Greensprings Hotel, Ashland, Oregon (nice), formerly the Mark Antony Hotel, Marisa and I stayed there several times.
A motel in Jacksonville, Oregon (I forget the name), near the courthouse. Marisa and I and just I myself stayed there.
A motel suite next to Jackson Hot Springs where we met Chester the cat and tried out an in-room hot tub.
A hotel in Seattle named W* ? that is right across from the Cinerama. I like that one--self-parking! We stayed there twice.

A hotel in Pasadena, California for our Timothy Carey vacation.

The Gilbert Inn, Seaside, Oregon. Most of the stay was distracted by Marisa getting intense pain caused by some combination of a bad mattress, shoes with bad support, stress--who knows?! We went to the emergency room there and she tried to sleep it off while I watched silent films off a portable DVD player. We did take a walk on the boardwalk, see the turnaround and visited their aquarium and saw some seals.
The Sylvia Beach Hotel, Newport Oregon. We stayed in the Dr. Seuss Room and supped with other residents at the hotel. Visited the Oregon Aquarium in Newport while there...and the beach nearby, of course.

A motel in Burbank, California recommended by an actor to Marisa. Sort of run down.
A motel in Los Angeles, California near a redline stop near Hollywood. Clean, safe but nothing special. Marisa and I for TCM Festival.
A McMennamins hotel: Old St. Francis School, 700 N.W. Bond Street, Bend, OR. Converted into a hotel in 2004. The room was for handicapped folks, but it was what they had. To visit Terry Shrader. Nice, interesting.
Crystal Hotel in Portland, Oregon with Marisa to supposedly see Patti Smith. Nice, interesting.
Paramount Hotel in Portland, Oregon with Marisa. (at least twice, once to see Tony Bennett, another time for NY Eve). Very nice.
A hotel in Astoria when we went there to see a burlesque performance. Decent place, but not historic, near the Columbia River.
A resort hotel in Washington where Marisa performed. Bad food for a vegetarian.
