After Death

Marisa and I have made arrangements for our final resting places.

Marisa's body will be enbalmed and placed in a crypt with her mother's cremains in a mausoleum at Skyline Cemetery. My cremains will go in a display case directly across from her crypt.

Many other questions need to be settled:
* What will the plate identifying the crypt look like?
* What is the cost of enbalming, transport, placement, engraving?
* Who will do this service?
* Will there be a funeral or any ceremony?
* How will my body be cremated?
* Who will do the cremation?
* What is the cost of the cremation?
* What will go into my display case besides the cremains?
* What kind of container will be used for my cremains?

To-day I decided I want my body cremated chemically through alkaline hydrolysis. Throughout my life I have disliked burning and polluting the atmosphere. Now there is an alternative to that when it comes to reducing the body to its chemical components. So I want to pre-arrange, if possible, this "aqua cremation."

This is just an example:

I say, "if possible" because I don't intend to do this immediately and it is always possible that I might die before I am able to make the arrangements. In that case this can be seen as a directive to whomever survives me or whom is in charge of final services.

So the question of "How will my body be cremated" is now answered.

Also, upon my death, I simply want the body cremated after any use-able parts can be contributed to others (organ donation) and then placed with my other items into the display case. Also any online content should be set up. No official ceremony should be held or purchased. This should not prevent any gathering to remember me or to visit my final resting place: I just do not want a funeral home to be in charge or take some part in this.
