* Got a half-hour to talk with a Kaiser-Permanente doctor last week. She believes I have dry-eye syndrome which was first diagnosed in 2015 with my visit to the E.R. (which, by the way, was never billed to me, thank goodness). She says there is not one single thing I can do...just drink water, cleanse the area around the eyes, take flax seed oil supplements and use "artificial tears" before the symptoms occur. Marisa dedicated one of our TCM bottles for my water and I have been trying to keep that around at all times so I can drink more water. I am including one flax seed oil pill with each lunch. I also reversed the colors for most of my displays on computers to be white letters and black backgrounds. I am now doing all of this except for the artifical tears. It may yet have beneficial impacts but still finding afternoons difficult at work.
* BTW the visit was "virtual" with the doctor at her home and me at my home. The Kaiser website is able to use the camera and audio system on my computer to make their own version of Skype work. The audio is not in sync and the video is low resolution...but it is probably better than a phone conversation.
* Meanwhile I had jaw and ear aches combined with a pain in my left forehead. Most of the pain has subsided but the left forehead still hurts. I didn't hit my head there, but that is what it feels like...as if some object bumped me right there. There is no inflammation, no outward sign of a problem there...but I feel it. The paranoid side of me says I have a brain tumor. I will wait and see if it stays, gets worse or fades away.
* Will is now healthy, happy and dealing with her brothers. Her last visit to the vets was last week on Wednesday. I ran the vacuum cleaner in the dining room around 9 a.m. which convinced her to go to her hiding place in the towel closet in the 2nd floor bathroom. Of course that was what I wanted! We pulled her out of there around 10 a.m. without incident.
* I wore my mask and drove Marisa and Will to the vet. My mask works fine now with the headband (which I purchased through Etsy) securely holding the mask in place. Marisa called the vet, someone called back about 10 minutes later and then brought Will in her bag into the building. The vet then talked with Marisa. A few minutes after that got a call and I provided a credit card number for the vaccine administration. Ten minutes later they call to let us know Will is coming and the guy opened the door and put the bag with Will in the back seat.
* The boy cats still want to copulate, but Will runs away. Occasionally I have to break them up. Hannibal is Will's protector but also wants her to himself, so it is a selfish concern. If food is being served and Will doesn't show, Hannibal fetches her! Venom is still somewhat aggressive, so we hope when he gets his chance to go to the vet he will return less so. Then Goose, then Hannibal and finally Eddie.
* I have reserved this coming Wednesday to work outside all day. It has been raining this weekend, so I focussed on research and to-day on dishes and general cleanup. But Wednesday, if the weather forecast holds, will be dedicated to finishing the fence, weeding, mowing and general outdoor clean-up. I am tired of seeing the lumber for the fence pickets leaning against the fence.
