Woke up this morning at 7:30. It was a relief to join the real world as I had several anxiety dreams--about home plumbing and work.
In the home plumbing I was tightening a pipe in our 2nd story bathroom when the pipe disappeared, gushing with water. I had no idea where the wrench was that I need to turn off the water. I also had no idea where all the water was going, but it was obviously not a good thing.
The work issue was some sort of restriction on options given to users which everyone seemed to know about me. I had put some sort of forbidden option in something we released and, while I was on vacation there were hurried emails about fixing it...but no details. When some upper management person met our team and asked if we all knew about the restriction, I said I didn't understand even though I knew there was some sort of problem. His face turned sour and said I needed to come up speed on that. My colleagues gave me the cold shoulder and others told me "You're on your own." Almost immediately I had access to almost nothing, no one sent me emails, no one would respond to my requests.
So, when waking I was so glad to see the light of day, hear cats meowing and stand on a floor in our house.
Petunia left us again. Marisa let her out when Petunia seemed anxious. She bolted out the back cat door.
It was good weather in the afternoon and should be fairly nice for the next week. Who knows when we'll see her again, but don't want to imprison a cat that came to us as a stray. At least she is fixed. I think she knows she can come back to us if she is worn, hungry, wet or miserable.
Took me a while to be comfortable in reality. Ended up drinking three cups of coffee. Took my shower after a delay from yesterday. I am pretty sure the distress of my scalp probably triggered the dreams.
Did three things to-day-- changed the light bulb of the overhead outdoor front porch lamp, pulled two buckets worth of dandelions from the back lawn, and shoveled out the contaminated cat litter.
While drinking my third cup of coffee Marisa and I watched CBS Sunday Morning. It was a very good episode, answering questions about internet speed, psychological problems during the virus shutdown, toilet paper supply and Carl Reiner/Mel Brooks. The moment of nature was longer and showed hundreds of geese in the finger lakes region of New York State.
