Back to Normal except for video service
Almost back to normal except for our video service from Century Slinky.
Just yesterday it began interrupting viewing every 4-5 minutes with a "Channel off the air" message. I found if you change to the next channel then return to the previous channel you could restore service. In other words, the channel transmission was fine and the box was detecting a problem that did not exist.
The remote service technician restarted the box but it did no good.
So Tuesday a technician will visit us.
I switched to the off air box and for a while it seemed as if everything was fine, but there were reception issues.
I hope to get to the exterior antenna someday, but need to do the following first:
* eat breakfast.
* take a shower.
* get dressed.
* clean the cat litter boxes.
* put out trash, compost and recycling.
* clean the kitchen.
* prepare the backroom for cleaning.
* move stuff off the hatch.
* go to the basement and prepare space and a path for holiday boxes.
* buy an air filter if no new ones availble.
* install a new air filter.
* move holiday boxes to basement.
* move other things to basement.
* clean the back room.
* put up window coverings in the back room.
* move records to the basement.
* tidy up office to prepare for vacuum.
* vacuum the office.
* remove stuff from 2nd floor storage room.
* set up shelves in storage room.
* all films stored there.
* find places for stuff removed from that room.
I have driven to and from work for two days. The truck is working fine!
