Woke around 8:30 a.m. to feed the cats and have coffee.
Marisa stayed up longer than me, so is still asleep at 11:07 a.m.
I was still wearing my bed clothes at that time. Goose wanted my desk chair, but he gave up when he saw I was going to keep it for a while longer.
I fixed the regedit issue with the photo editor program by starting the program as an admin.
Completed saving all of the Tibbitts PPIE offerings on ebay recently. All but one of them was new to me. All but one was purchased and not by me (because I did not bid).
Basically I think my computer is up and running well, better than before now. I have all the conversion software, gif creator and can scan again (but with different Twain-compliant programs). I worked several hours to get the scanner going again for my Plustek A320 scanner. The software I got with it didn't work, but Plustek had a Windows 10 update for the drivers. My mistake was choosing A320L.
I did a little work yesterday when I saw a new ticket and also also needed to login as oateclib on four machines to keep the system from kicking them off (they serve as agents for our automation but the system does not recognize this usage as active).
Last night we watched some Mystery Science Theater 3000 shorts, then two episodes from season 1 of Star Trek The Next Generation: the Arsenal of Freedom and the one about two renegade Klingons (Heart of Glory?). I want to watch the final two episodes of the first season before starting season 2. Now have 22 days left before Star Trek: Picard debuts on CBS Access!
We had decorated pizza which cost less than $10 (closer to $7 with two $3 pizzas from Grocery Outlet and some sliced mushrooms added), crackers and hummus, and Brut (dry, not sweet, sparkling white wine). The first drink pained my back jawbones for some reason. After a few crackers with hummus I drank another glass with no ill-effects.
That is how we entered the new year. So far so good.
