Truck: better but still stalls

Dec 10, 2019 18:53

I am definitely less worried about my truck. The folks at Madison Automotive put in a new fuel pump and it starts nicely. They also did an oil change. I don't think I will have to endure the terrible starting issue I had two weeks ago!

However, the truck still stalls out from a complete stop and after starting seems rough. This happened twice while driving home (2 stop lights). There is still something wrong!

They said they drove it to Freddies and back, so unless they got green lights the entire way, they should have noticed the problem.

While the 1000 rpm is the top of the range for a recommended idle speed, there may also be some sort of idle control valve that could have a problem.

So I will take it back to-morrow. However, not going to worry about starting it (at least I hope I don't have to worry!).

truck, repair
