At SJC waiting to go home

Marisa and I drove to Los Banos, California from Lancaster this morning. No issues. Nice weather. A couple of rest stop visits along the way. A tractor trailer rig attempted to pass on a two lane highway just as the vehicle in front of us turned left. The rig never completed the maneuever and there was an oncoming vehicle, so I sped ahead. After that the rig was less interested in trying to pass and stayed back. Eventually I found a spot to pass the rig in front which was going a bit slower than the norm.

That was about the only incident along the way.

Marisa's car is good. Her filter was replaced with one 4-5x better...higher pressure at spec.

So she shouldn't have vapor lock again.

For some reason her left turn signal is running fast, yet the lights work...just weaker. There is some higher resistance but I am not worried as I can see the signal working.

She acknowledges my Facebook comments, so she should be doing ok.

We split up at the I-5 intersection with the highway to Gilroy.

The road to Gilroy is neat but hilly.

The Hyundai Sonata took it very well: it is a powerful car which can deliver when needed.

The split to Gilroy after the scenic highway was a two-lane road, but it worked out ok. Many roadside fruit stands. Highway 101 was fine until San Jose proper when there was some sort of accident earlier which slowed traffic to a near standstill.

I was not worried: good to arrive a few hours early.

When I got to Brokaw Lane took a quick cycle through the airport then exited looking for a gas station. Chevron. After the 2+ gallons in gas I expended since Los Banos (where I had filled up), I parked to consolidate my stuff and removed gravel from the floor.

Rental return after that went very nicely. No extra charges.

At SJC took a movie of an interesting propeller 3d object, then exchanged shoes for those without metallic shanks...and put away all pocket stuff into my baggage. My pre-check status made for easy transit into the secured area.

For lunch I had a veggie burrito and parked myself at a seat nearby Ms. Absolutely, some woman who ate her lunch while doing some sort of a sales call. She must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle! I did a video then to capture at least some sense of what it was like to hear this woman. I wonder if it would have been as weird to me if it had come from a man? Yeah, probably.
