I admit: I don't know everything there is to know about what life is like on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene these days. However, it seems to be leveraged heavilly in favor of those with money and influence, athletes, rich alumni and with only weak support for efforts to reduce sexual assaults on campus.
News articles from the past few years indicate legal challenges regarding the administration efforts to tone down anything negative about the University or its reluctance to take positive steps to address safety issues at UO. As such I refuse to donate any money to my alma mater until I see a better attitude from the UO administration toward this and other important issues in education there.
