Roof finished for the back room!
The roof is finished for the backroom!
Victor and the other guy finished around 4 p.m.
The new vent is there. Before we put in the new ceiling I will connect the vent to the half-bathroom and get the vent fan working.
Everything looks very tight and nice.
I am a bit worried about how the gutter system will work as they pushed the roof over by about an inch with flashing that goes down a bit. The flashing curves down, but I think the water will just fly off the end and past the gutter.
The folks who installed the roofing said they did what they did to make it easier for the gutters, but I don't see how it helps at all.
I have priced the gutters and related materials including a new rain barrel and base.
Also we need to get a new smoke detector for house 70, so looks like I will spend a total of $300.
House 70 also needs some carpentry work on the base of the back door. The ledge on the door was not supported correctly and broke off. The exterior of the house at that place has some poor wood. I would rather a professional fix it up.
