Dark Days at Zolacmanor
Besides that it is overcast to-day, it is not a great day at Zolacmanor.
It is tough to make it a good day, as Marisa has a bad tooth. The beginnings of the pains occurred earlier this week and we did nothing about scheduling a visit with the dentist. The reason: she was getting ready for a burlesque performance and had surgery on Thursday.
However, on Friday the pain got worse and it was too late to see a dentist. Most dentists in the Portland area shut down on Friday, Saturday and Sunday! So now Marisa has to deal with not only the issues post-surgery but also the pain in her mouth.
There is nothing I can do, so trying to just do what I had planned on doing: some yard work (probably to-morrow) and cleaning up the back room and basement (to-day). I need to get caught up on my personal hygiene as well.
The cats are pretty subdued, too. I think they tend to react to us, but Spalding has been pretty depressed these last couple of days...just sleeping on her perch, always hungry. Cirrus hasn't been sitting in my lap while I have coffee...just eats his breakfast (if he comes down for it) and then sleeps.
So, any activities planned for this weekend are not going to happen. Also, what I do at home is likely not to be done with a lot of positive energy. Neither Marisa or I tend to get very energetic when the other is suffering.
Monday I will work from home and then will take a mid-day break for my dentist appointment. Tuesday I will work from RA1 but may work from home on Wednesday as I will attend the weekly evening meeting with the testing crew in Bangalore, India.
