The Rustle of Library Thing
There are now more than 1650 books cataloged from the Zolac Manor library at Library Thing. The latest batch came from some $2 hardbacks and a few $1 paperbacks purchased from the Goodwill As-Is in Salem, Oregon. We were in Salem to get a refurbished book from Max Marbles, book binder extraordinaire...a book bought earlier but not entered into Library Thing. Also not yet catalogued, but recently purchased, are some photoplay novels with illustrations of scenes from their "silent" movie equivalents. I use the word "silent" in quotes because such movies usually did have sound with them: everything from a single organist or pianist to a stage orchestra and Foley artists who presented sounds and music to match what was happening on screen.
