Yesterday was the first time we have cooled our house!
danceswithfish said she was roasting, so she adjusted the coolness setting on the "IQ Drive" control (AKA Thermostat) and "Voila! Cool air!" Betty was not roasting so compensated by bundling up.
Nice to know the system we installed, less than a month ago now, is working correctly!
We used to get by on $8 a month to the natural gas company (and still will) but we will likely see our electricity bill go up. At least it is the most efficient heat pump around, so we should be okay.
Before we'd run fans and try to air condition a single room...hooking the AC by a 50 foot extension cord to avoid over-stressing one of the circuits. Now, no yellow cord running haphazardly from 1st floor to 2nd floor and no all-night droning and ill-placed breezes trying to keep things comfortable.
