Sunday Things done and What to do before Saturday...
I made some additional progress on the cleaning/re-organization:
* finished removing packing materials from the Knight radio.
* sorted through games and donated 3 to the Goodwill.
* made Goodwill donations.
* measured the area where Betty's bed will go.
* brought two bags of bags and returnables to Freddies.
* assembled the teletype base I got from Mike.
* swept the north side of the porch and threw the trash into the Monday morning collection.
* moved the chair.
* bagged the fabricky things destined for the dump.
* positioned the radio by the door.
* put out all trash and recycling: only bubble wrap and 1 styrofoam sheet from radio packing materials could not be included (next week).
danceswithfish added a fabric covering to protect the top of the radio.
To do over the course of this week by either myself (after work) or danceswithfish:
* Vacuum the porch (there is a small section of carpet that really needs cleaning)
* Remove cobwebs from ceiling of porch
* Remove stuff from around the hatch of the basement.
* Go into the basement
- bring up boxes which can be reassembled or be recycled
- bring up sewing machine destined for Goodwill/Craig's List
- bring up bed for either Betty, Goodwill or Craig's List (if too wide it and vanity go)
- open boxes to obtain books to fill shelves in front porch
- bring up teletype
- rearrange basement
- box stuff for donation to Goodwill
* clean up the bed
* find thing that holds mirror onto back of the vanity
* remove stuff from the sideboard, Heywood Wakefield cabinet, the game cabinet and the bar
* box anything no longer needed for Goodwill
* make Goodwill donations of items in smaller boxes
* put big items (bar, sideboard, sewing machine, bed?, vanity?) on Craig's List and get them out of here
* Once (and if) vanity is gone, reorganize porch to allow pool table to be up!
* remove large eye bolts from front porch
* anything not gone by Saturday must be loaded into the truck and be donated to Goodwill
