Slush away!
My back is beginning to feel a little better after two weeks of unergonomic sitting before a laptop while working from home and from keeping my sidewalk cleared off.
I feel pretty good that this year, unlike 2004, I managed to keep most of the accumulation off the sidewalk. There was a day when my neighbors came out with their snow shovels and I stayed in doors, but the amount of new snow was minimal. In general, our sidewalk was the model for the block.
The accumulation is nearly melted from even our front yard walkways (which were difficult to shovel or plow because they are uneven) and snow around my truck has become mere slush. I plowed and shoveled it away and kept it out of the gutters to prevent snow dams.
Today, after two weeks of sitting at home, we will drive away...see beatnikgoth's mom, Betty, get a container for 2009 papers at the Goodwill and anything else we can do in the limited time we have this afternoon.
