Atmospheric River

For once I did everything on my list for the day:

[x] bring up saws, maybe a jigsaw (manual may be enough)
[x] move cabinet.
[x] cut perimeter of duct. opening just enough to fit new register.
[x] take all old registers and put in Goodwill pile.
[x] clean 1st floor litter box.
[x] clean 2nd floor litter box.

I am not happy with the register: it simply will be set too high and the duct gets in the way to push it lower.
The answer, I think, is to create a wood transition ring.

I purchased some oak molding to sit the register on. Next will need to create a template, then bias cut the pieces and glue them together. The molding is not thick enough or wide enough for some sort of fastener between the cuts, so the glue will have to do.

Got caught in a big downpour. It is part of an "atmospheric river" which peaks today but continues on through Friday. We will need to get out and buy food tomorrow. I will try to use cash on hand and our can money and stick to a budget.

Wednesday at 10 a.m. a carpenter, Zach, will be here to check out the stairs project. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get that done? It would make me happy, anyway.

My finger warts are all but gone. The finger tips are no longer lumpy, just a little skin roughness where there was a wart. My immune system is doing well. I am doing well.
