I've finally filed all my papers. Sat at the couch and organized, then orthogonally stacked each pile on top of each other while watching Stargate SG1, an episode from the first season about "The Nox" starring Armin Shimmerman (Quark on Deep Space 9). Then, brought the stack to my office and played Gloria Wood while bringing each substack to my accordian file satchel.
Garbage and recycling are waiting to be picked up. No trucks have arrived by 8 a.m. which is unusual.
Tomorrow Marisa and I go to a little thing at Neil Kelly about kitchens and bathrooms. I seriously doubt they will have anything I can use, but you never know.
Next Wednesday and the Wednesday after that there are tree tours, so may do those. The first one is not in NoPo, so will need to have a convenient Tri-Met route for that.
I also have a strategy to visit Goodwill stores on Wednesday when honored citizens get 10% off. I need to get trimet routes to each store and only do this by trimet.
Before I go whole hog on finding insert framing supplies this way, I need to look into breaking down my one framed poster and adapting it for an insert. That will be the test.
The Oregon Symphony has a thing for rush tickets...half off for honored citizens to fill unsold seats.
I have soaked cat food cans and am soaking a bowl and fork I used yesterday when eating dinner, so will take care of those later today, then I can hand wash the remaining dirty dishes and get us on a clean kitchen routine. If I can stay on that routine (I see no reason why not), then I can turn to floor cleaning in our house!
I should do another pass with the weed wacker on the park strip before the weather gets bad (Oct. 12 always seem to be the turning point, this time it appears to be on Monday, Oct. 14). Also I will do the back: time for the tall growth to go. I plan to figure out what we've been growing using my list (and will also check the bags to see if there is additional info). I got the initial list from the paper work I found while filing my papers!
Next week I need to get some stains and polyurethane. Stains because I will get a spare fir tread piece left over and do samples. I may just go with unstained and just poly.
Then it is on to:
* cleaning.
* sanding.
* cleaning.
* staining.
* sanding.
* cleaning.
* staining (if needed)
* sanding (if needed)
* cleaning (if needed)
* sealing.
Will also gradually be cleaning the laundary room and then I can work on the upgrades, starting with the register. I need to trim around the duct opening. I am thinking about using a jigsaw.
