Walkway and Park Strip

Aug 26, 2024 08:07

Yesterday I sliced off errant branches of Oregon Grape, Nootka Rose and Red Flowering Currant which blocked part of the entry walkway to our house. Also I wacked grass, clover and Queen Anne's lace in the park strip. Next steps: sweep debris from sidewalk and walkway, dig out stumps of hacked Queen Anne's lace and do another pass for laid down grass. I already scooped up the cut branches and put those in the compost bin. Took about two hours but the next day my right arm is sore.

Nevertheless I feel I am in better shape doing this than I remember, when I had to switch arms often. All that digging in the past several months has allowed me to do this with just the right arm with not too many ill effects.

Woke up late today as Marisa woke way earlier and fed the cats.

The kitchen is still in a sorry state. I have another pile of cat food cans to soak and more dishes to load.

Also, I didn't start on the cat litter because I need more litter. Marisa plans to get groceries today.
