Yesterday when I was aligning my truck to Marisa's engine compartment, Marisa asked "Are you sure this will work?"
My answer was: "I am never sure about anything, but it should work."
This is true about everything I do. I plan, research, learn as much as I can, but I am never sure anything will function when it comes down to the physical work.
The moments I say I am sure are those where things are not tested before-hand and things do go wrong. Better to be unsure, test, feel more confident, and have at least a plan B in place.
In the case of boosting the battery: we had done it before in that same location and I was getting the vehicles as close to each other as possible. Yet I don't remember every aspect of when we did it before. The only thing that could have been a problem is if the cable was too short--but turns out we had plenty of slack. I may have even pulled the truck closer this time than before.
Anyway, that is who I am: confident that I can work it out, but never assured my plan will work. I always leave myself flexibility and try to prepare and pre-test as much as possible.
