Top of Mind

Finished wiki reorg, presentation creation, two training sessions and changes for specifications on a script I support. Worked longer days to do this, but it is finished. One demo ran into some bug, so need to look into that today.

Winding down one initiative for migrating code but still need one hour of focus on one task for me.

Pocket door is knocked around due to air currents between the back room and the dining room. I will add bumpers which should fix that.

I would like some sort of soft bottom to the door to help block the light and the gap at the bottom without harming the ability of the door to slide. Is there such a thing?

Our kitchen is a mess: I have not had time to work on this. Maybe Saturday?

So much to do and no potatoes (not true, we have frozen potatoes in the freezer).

Last weekend the ice maker stopped working. Two decades is enough, apparently. We need a new refrigerator: its plastic is cracking and turning yellow. To get ice in the meantime Marisa bought some ice cube trays and removed the ice drawer under the ice maker.

Marisa also removed the flatware organizer in one drawer: mouse poop. So it now just sits in the kitchen sink. I will have to clean it up and put it back now before I empty the dishwasher.

Received a Natalie Kingston/Milton Sills card with a scene from their movie which I did not have. Also got a program from the Mildred Harris-Milton Sills movie with 4 scenes.

Rainy, blustery weather expected for several days...but hope it will be good enough to drive to Scapoose Saturday to get my new license plate stickers.

Tomorrow, Friday, Marisa and I will go to Clinton Street Theatre to watch a show of "Star Trek/Star Wars" performances.

If I am lucky, one carpenter will look at our stairs situation tomorrow so he can give me a quote on doing it. I will probably have to have him also finish the railing and newel posts, even though I felt I could do that. Just doing the volute and balusters may be too small of a job without adding the finish work.

I got the feet for the washer and dryer, so I want to put those in this weekend.

Two weeks from now I want to organize all our stuff for thriftapalooza in the basement as if it was set up for the event: tables, chairs, and all of the things we want to sell. So if not this weekend, next weekend I need to create the same sized area in the basement. Once we have that, we can pack it up and be ready to put it all in the truck and set up on Friday, March 22.

Another thing for next weekend: taxes, at least the state and federal taxes...so I can pay those off. The other ones I can do later and, other than the arts tax, should be paperwork only: the two local taxes were withheld already. They might want a little extra for stock sales in 2023.
