Wadsworth said it best. Of course PE should be mandatory (barring a valid medical excuse, and no, I don't mean being an obese lazy bastard). Music, arts, everything - SCHOOLS SHOULD COME FIRST.
After all, it's the ability to pass information from one generation to another that make humans unique among (almost all) species. If we forget that education is what creates our doctors, scientists, politicians, almost everyone of importance in society, we (speaking as a US resident) will lose out to countries that don't forget this fact.
