My Trip to Iowa
Yes, I went to Iowa this past weekend with Chris for his homecoming. He went to Upper Iowa University. It's in Fayette, Iowa which is a "don't blink or you'll miss it" kind of town. It was really nice though. We stayed at his friend Austin's house for the 2 nights - which was fun. I got a chance to meet most of Chris' friends that he went to school with and they were all really nice. Friday night we went to the only bar in town to watch the Cubs game and I met a lot of people - almost everyone there recognized Chris and were happy to see him. None of them could believe that he was engaged! However everyone that I met told me that I had a really great guy - I know I do - I don't know what I would do without him :) We got home around 2:00 am. Then Saturday, Chris and 6 of his buddies went golfing for a couple hours while I watched a few movies to pass the time. After they got back we got a sub a Blimpies (the only fast food place in the town - and it's at a gas station) then went to the bar again and watched the other Cubs game. We got home early that night and went to sleep at 11. Finally, we left Sunday afternoon around 2:00 to go visit Chris' friend Jon and his girlfriend and then left their house around 4:00. We didn't get home until about 10:00 Sunday night because we stopped at Chili's on the way back. Chris was gonna stay for a little bit but his allergies were bothering him so he just went home and went to sleep. So that was my weekend. It was pretty good all in all. I just finished writing my 3rd speech for tomorrow - ooh how fun. So hopefully I will do well. That's about all for now.
