Of Officer Conley
So I was sitting on the second floor of Squires today working on a group project with some folks from my class when these two police officers came wandering through. The man was talking really quietly and seriously to each table while the woman stood a little behind him. I thought one of the girls in my group was going to faint from nerves when they came over to our table.
Turns out that both officers were visiting campus for Wednesday (the April 16th anniversary). The woman was from William and Mary, and the man from JMU. And, apparently, their entire point of wandering through Squires so that the man could introduce himself to every student he could find.
And so he could remember every student he could find.
I gather that everyone at JMU knows Officer Conley (no, really, I called Jen and she confirmed it), and he's made Tech his next goal.
I am, needless to say, impressed. Though I'll be more impressed if I see him again and he remembers me. ...I'm half convinced he would. O_O
