All during their Winter break and still through the Spring, Puck is ignored by everyone. Even all his jock friends, even the cougars, and every single hot chick that walks the halls. Minus Rachel. She smiles at him when no one else will, says hi to him when they pass each other in the halls. One day she asks him if he wants to come over and practice, because for once Puck actually has a solo. Neither of them know why, and Pucks swears he'll never admit it to anyone, but when he does come over, they talk and laugh and have fun. When he leaves, having not sung at all, he feels guilty and the next day he doesn't smile at her when she says hi. He doesn't deserve her sympathy or kindness. She apparently disagrees completely, because when Quinn yells at him for not taking her to her doctor's appointment - he has to pick up his sister from school, okay? - Rachel cuts in and offers to take Quinn herself, smiling at him as she leaves. Puck doesn't know what her deal is, but apparently she's sticking around.
He's not sure how he feels about it yet.

When Quinn has the baby, and Puck surprises everyone by hiring a lawyer - Rachel's uncle, but no one is supposed to know that - he takes his beautiful little baby Molly home. Rachel smiles when he places Molly in her pretty pink crib - Rachel's a crazy control freak and took over decorating her nursery, but Puck doesn't mind - and kisses her lightly on the forehead.
And even though Puck hates to admit it, he actually kinda likes Rachel. After all, she's been with him through all the messed up crap he's been going through, so why shouldn't he? But, he's still Puck. So when he makes Rachel cry - it wasn't his fault okay? Molly wouldn't stop crying and he hasn't had a good nights rest in a week! - he acts like he doesn't care. She doesn't call him or acknowledge him for a whole freakin' month and he nearly goes insane. It's not like their dating or anything, but nowadays she's pretty much his new version of Finn, only smarter and hot.
Finally, she knocks on his door one day, invites herself in, and takes Molly from his hands. She smiles and tickles his daughter, then rocks her gently as she speaks to him. He wishes she would look at him.
"I accept that you apparently can't lo... have any other feelings toward me. I will, however, still be your friend, so."
He wishes he could just tell her he's sorry. He didn't mean it, really.

A week after Molly turns one, Rachel gets her heartbroken. He's not sure what exactly happened, or when, but when she calls him at three o'clock in the morning, completely calm, her voice the saddest he's ever heard, he feels like his heart breaks too.
He really hates Finn, and stupid Quinn, and he really hates the fact that Rachel still doesn't.
She tells him she's going to get out as soon as she can. She's already talked to Miss P about getting her GED.
Three months later, he's driving her to the airport in his pajamas.
She doesn't say goodbye, just kisses him on the cheek and tells him to say hi to Molly for her.

Noah graduates with a full scholarship to NYU. He calls Rachel before the ceremony, he's saved her a seat, and Molly is real excited to see her.
Unfortunatley, all he gets is this:
"Sorry Puck, I've got call backs and rehearsals, and cast parties and oh! I'm late, but congratulations!"
He almost considers not going to the stupid ceremony, until he sees Rachel standing on his driveway, with three suitcases. He runs out to hug her, and gets to the corner of her lips to kiss her when she tells him this:
"I have so much to tell you! And oh! Meet my boyfriend, Tom."
Well, then.

Noah moves to New York with Molly. He works part time and goes to school. He takes care of Molly. He's an adult now. All grown up.
When he sees Rachel on his way to pick up more groceries, he doesn't smile. She notices him and jumps into his arms, laughing and squealing. She invites him over for dinner, and he tries to make himself not go, really, but it doesn't work so much.
They talk for what seems like forever, and Noah learns more in that night than any of his years in High School. When she asks how he's been, he kisses her. She kisses back and doesn't mention any boyfriend and thank god, finally.

They've been together since that night. She moves in with him and Molly. It takes a while for Noah to get used to having two constants in his life, especially when Rachel throws as many tantrums as Molly does.
But it's okay though, 'cause he kinda sorta loves Rachel a little bit(a lot) so things should be okay.
When they have another fight, she slams the door on her way out. Molly cries the whole day and he can't get any work done, but it doesn't matter because his mind is focused on Rachel anyway. It's cold out, and it starts to rain, and what if she gets pneumonia or some shit?
When he hears soft knocking on the door at two in the morning, he gets up from the couch he was napping on - he fell asleep while the game was on, fuck - and opens it with worried eyes.
She stands in front of him, shivering and drenched. He almost laughs when she says, "I forgot my key", and looks at him with those eyes.
He smiles at her and sighs, wrapping his long arms around her tiny frame.

They get married in June. It's small, and kind of out of place because Molly wants to wear red, when everybody else is wearing lavender. But it's okay, because it's perfect. Molly goes home with Aunt Tina and Uncle Artie when Rachel and Noah go away on their honeymoon.
As Noah watches Rachel sleep, he swears he'll always be there when she wakes up. And everything will be okay, even though he doesn't like her cooking and Rachel yells at him when he and Molly refuse to clean up.
They fit, so it's okay.
And it's not like he's turning into Finn or anything. It's not like he's getting soft. He just loves his wife, okay?
