Padma quietly moved about the kitchen preparing to fix some coffee to wake her up for a full day of studying. Everyone in the Nook was asleep, at least she thought even though Hermoine might be up, for they were all tired for the amount of studying for N.E.W.T.S. had taken. Padma knew that doing tutoring from almost sunrise to sunset would be tiring but they were covering a full year of academics into 6 weeks.
As she waited for the coffee to percolate she looked over to the message board at the study calendar Hermoine had created. They had survived one month and had two more weeks to go. Padma was currently focusing on her Ancient Runes as she felt she had a good grasp on the rest of her subjects. She had decided to focus on Herbology, DADA, Potions, Charms, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Transfiguration and of course History of Magic which was required. It was enough to make one’s head spin. In that moment, Padma realized she was ready for a break. In fact, she felt like everyone probably needed a break. Tensions around The Nook were high because everyone was extremely stressed. A night out at the Three Broomsticks was what everyone needed.
Pouring her coffee into her “studying mug” Padma decided to write a few owls about meeting up at the Three Broomsticks. Glancing at the clock she noticed the time and realized that most people don’t like getting an owl at this hour of the morning. Padma quietly giggled to herself about her eagerness to start planning a get together. Suddenly a sound was heard upstairs. “Someone must be up,” she thought and smiled. Padma left her chair and went upstairs to conspire plans with whoever was lucky enough to be up with her at this hour.
