Charlie couldn't say that it had been an easy decision to make. He had loved his job in Romania, and he had loved his life there. Not coming back to Romania meant leaving some very close friends behind, and an entire part of his life... but as he saw his mother's smile, Charlie knew that it was the right thing to do.

"I have already applied for a job at the Ministry, " he replied. "The Magical Creatures Department had an open position, and I kind of have an expertise in that field, so... " He supposed that he would not be able to hide the fact from his father for long, now that his application had reached the Ministry. "Percy helped a lot with the application, too," he added. He knew how much of a relief Percy's return had been to her, but it was even more important for her to know that he was making real efforts to be accepted into the family again.

Charlie sipped at his mug, enjoying the warm feeling of that Romanian drink. It was true that he had learnt a lot during those seven years, and he had changed, too. He had seen and experienced things that he hadn't really told his family about (except Bill, most of the time), and it would certainly feel strange to have everyone know all the details of his life again. But it was also a nice feeling. This was his family. And the war had taken its toll on everyone, especially on his mother. He had to be there for her, and for everyone else. And he knew that he also needed to be here for himself, to recover from Fred's death and from all that had happened. He needed to see his siblings and his parents, to spend time with them, to hear them and talk to them. "I'm also looking for a flat somewhere in London. That way, I'll be within apparating distance, and I'll come to visit as often as I can. Maybe bring some of my cooking for everyone else to enjoy, since I'll have my own kitchen!"
