It was yet another hot summer's day in Hogsmeade and Neville wandered around for a bit having arrived slightly earlier than planned after hearing on the DA galleon that Lavender could make it. He was much more familiar with the village having been apparating here for a good portion of July than he had ever been from the odd Hogsmeade weekend they'd had in school.
He was actually thinking about Luna's owl as he passed the time and he hoped she was okay. His Gran had told him off once for being ashamed of his parents and he never had been, but he knew what it was like to have something about your parents or parent in this case that was hard to explain. Neville hoped that had the Death Eaters gotten hold of his Gran he'd still have been able to do the right thing, like his parents had but he didn't know. Besides which whatever Luna's father had done Luna had never flinched from the fight against Voldemort and in the grand scheme of things that was much more important. Neville hoped Harry, Ron and Hermione saw it that way as well.
He got to the Three Broomsticks early and bought an iced pumpkin juice before finding a table. He'd admitted to himself that the house would have to have something dreadfully wrong with it from him not to want it since he'd seen the garden. He really hoped it didn't though and that Lavender was as keen.
