I know I've seen a few for sale in the shop... and I'm sure if you mentioned they were for the festival, they'd give you a good discount.

...how have you been? We've both been so busy, it's been awhile since we've spoken...

My coils are coming along nicely, as I stated. I finished three more sonatas, and I'm continuing the beach landscape I started a few weeks ago. [Artemis detested the artist block that he'd felt when he and Ion went their separate ways. On top of that, he'd had to store so many sketches away from where he could see them. Ion had always been so expressive, so active...]

How are your preparations going? I suspect you'll be attending the festival with Ranka. [Which rankled him to say, but was at least a sure way to ruffle Ion.]

[Oh. Ranka had been foolish enough to wander into the woods, hadn't she? It never failed--someone would inevitably wander in there thinking 'It could never happen to me!' Well, Artemis had thought his mother and father would live to see him married, but someone had to be that one case in a hundred.]

[Whenever Ion says "Don't worry" it usually means he's about to do something that will make people worry. Given the journal has been set aside and the sound of the window opening can be heard, it sounds like this will be another one of those times.]
