...and I notice that people really don't like that. It's not that I have no ideas to offer, it's just that I don't think any one answer can suffice for another person's situation.
Years ago, when I spoke with confidence about things I thought I knew about, people gravitated towards it. It seems having answers, even if there's the possibility that they are wrong, is easier for people who want others to decide how to live their lives for them. There's a freeness, a lack of responsibility even, in consistently and blindly following other people's advice.
