Healthy eating has actually been going pretty well. Haven't missed a day writing down foods, and have stepped up things on the exercise front.
Positive developments:
Have been cooking at home a lot more, which is helpful. Have taken the time to pack both healthy lunches and snacks, which is good. I've pretty much avoided fried foods (had taquitos Sunday, but I think that was the only slip), which is helping my stomach problems a bit. Portion control is improving. I started a "walk to work" regimen which I'm really enjoying (takes me a little over an hour). I'm still not great when I go out to eat, though I am better than I have been lately, and have added salads, swapped out fries, things like that. I also re-quit coffee late last week because of stomach issues.
Lessons Learned/Issues:
I'm REALLY surprised how many alcohol-related calories I'm drinking, just between going out for things like pub crawls, having wine with George on a weeknight, etc. That's something I can tangibly work on. Also haven't been able to do as much strength training as I'd like to. Wondering if I'm not pushing cardio hard enough if I'm swapping out eliptical/bike for walking so frequently. Haven't quite banished the urge for late night snacking.
