Look at those prices! Oh God...it's sick to think what that would cost today...haha.

I have a 1966 Seventeen magazine too (with Twiggy on the cover) and the advertisements are so fantastic.

My friend has a Sears catalogue (a BIG one) from the early fifties. I look at the prices and just think- god i would love to get highwaisted jeans for 5 bucks! My boyfriend teases me since i refuse to pay more than 5-10$ above the original cost of most of my vintage. Does it make me cheap? perhaps- but i like to think of it as authentic...

This is very cool. Your efforts paid off. Though yeah, it may seem cheap now, but I am sure that the prices for that specific time period were still in accordance with the economy and therefore possibly quite high.
