An update.
Despite all the odds against us, and many broken promises of help, we have managed to come up with almost all the amount of cash we need for the rent. The people at where John worked raised One Thousand dollars for him. Some of our close friends gave some too. It is still going to be very tight, a whole lot tighter than I would like. But I believe we have made a turn. To all that could help and did, I want to thank you. It was most appreciated.
In sad news John's mom dies this past Monday. We expected it since she had been so sick lately. We decided to keep all the arrangements very simple. No service of any kind, and a simple cremation. The funeral expenses were covered by the trust that the nursing home had set up for her. Thank god for that otherwise we would not have been able to afford anything at all.
