Pairing: Jimin/Jungkook
Rating: PG
Genre: Angst if you really name this stuff as angst, maybe? +fluff
Summary: Actually Jungkook wasn’t really bothered by how clingy Jimin was to him. Even he sometimes found comfort in Jimin's touch. It was just a bad choice of words and intonation errors, Jungkook argued.
a/n: when i went to the noraebang with my family and searching through jikook tag on tumblr and instagram - out of a sudden this idea came out and decided to write this before the idea disappears completely. because sometimes jungkook seems so mean to jimin:(
This is mostly written in early 2015, but I just finished it recently. Well, enjoy! :)
"Jungkookie~"
Jungkook didn't even have to turn around to see who on this earth called him like that. With sweet voice but somehow sounded sickening to his ears, this was his short hyung, Park Jimin. From the start Jungkook knew Jimin had taken interests on him. Jimin talked a lot with him, played around, joked around and did skinships carelessly - but then after awhile he felt okay with it.
"What?" Jungkook didn't even bother to plug out his earphones. He knew he was being a brat but Jimin knew he's a brat from the start after all.
"What are you doing right now?" Jimin plopped himself down beside Jungkook and took one of Jungkook's earphones without even asking permissions. "Relax okay. We're not on cam right now. Taehyung is currently in charge of the camera and going somewhere with Hoseok-hyung."
Jungkook just glared because he was just not in the condition to deal with Jimin's constant annoyingness. It's needed sometimes, but it was one of the times that he just simply wanted to be alone. Jungkook just had a pretty bad mood since this day started.
He started the day with a headache formed suddenly in his head and feeling his body totally tired - actually the latter was pretty decent since he was an idol - but he was just moody since he woke up.
Then Namjoon spilled his really hot coffee to Jungkook's bare thigh - let me say it again, bare - but Jungkook smiled it off.
Taehyung and Hoseok played a prank on him which he literally fell for it and it was seldom for him to fall for their pranks, but nothing was so impossible if including those two.
After that, the manager broke a sad news - stating that his family was hit and run by an anonymous driver and was in a hospital back in Busan. He reacted fast. Called his mother for confirmation and his mother said that was real but they were currently okay.
But in the end of the call, all of his family screamed april fools!!! and he just ended the call angrily.
Or maybe he just disliked what the so-called april fools, after all.
"Hyung, you're not here for some april fools crap, right?" Jungkook said, looked into Jimin's eyes straightly to find if there was any joke or lie in them. "Because you may just leave if you're here for that reason."
But what Jungkook got was a realization took over Jimin - and Jimin quickly stood and rapped, "Oh my god I just remember this is april fools. Taehyung borrowed my money like quite a bunch and he promised to give it back to me in two weeks. He usually never promise he will give me back the money he borrowed and that's why today's strange and Hoseok-hyung - oh my fuck,"
And there, Jungkook was alone by his side again and he was convinced that he liked this more than having Jimin's company.
Jimin never knew his little touchs, skinships, and useless blabbering were that annoying to Jungkook. Actually Taehyung never borrowed his money and Hoseok didn’t really do anything to him, but the look in Jungkook’s eyes was very annoyed when he said that.
He could proudly said that he was actually quite ‘accepting’ for Jungkook’s constant rejections to him - after all it was all fanservices and for jokes. But how Jungkook took those seriously and thought that Jimin was that annoying, he can felt nothing but hurt.
Maybe I was really that annoying, Jimin sighs into his own thought, what can I do right in this world? Probably nothing.
His self-esteem was so low to begin with, and somehow, those rejections he got from Jungkook made it dropped more.
Jungkook actually noticed after that april fools crap, Jimin was trying to lessen the amount of skinships he did with him. Maybe it’s for the better, Jungkook thought, after all he felt all these times Jimin was constantly annoying him, his privacy was being invaded.
Jimin only got extra clingy when fansigns happened - but that’s really okay. Because he was pretty much accustomed having Jimin’s arm slung on his shoulder in front of the fans, uploaded their selcas for twitter and fans, or doing crazy things for Bangtan Bombs together. Or maybe on reality shows because they were showing to the fans how close they were.
But then when in a day all of that happened, Jungkook couldn’t hold it in. When in the morning Jimin asked him to take a selca with him, so he smiled and posed for camera. Fansign events happened during morning ‘til afternoon, and when afternoon, they had lunch and the PD-nim asked them to film for Bangtan Bombs and the 95’z was taking care of the cameras, Jungkook posed and played around, joked around.
Reality shows recording occurred and they played games - during games, Jimin was especially clingy in different ways and Jungkook quite despised that. Radio shows too.
After the late night radio show ended, he stormed out of the studio and just got in the van. Jimin tagged along, he knew that, but he kept his lips pursed.
“Why are you so hurried? Sleepy?” Jimin said, after getting in the van. Jungkook knew he was just being nice and considerate. “I will buy you some cool drinks in that canteen, okay? You want?”
Jungkook kept his lips pursed, not parting them. Jimin just stared at him with a grin, waiting for his answer.
“Hyung, why don’t you just leave me alone and go away?”
The original sentence actually possessed a frustrated, whiny intonation, but what got out was a totally harsh, and beyond rude sentence. Jungkook regretted the second he let the words out. He swore he saw hurt in Jimin’s eyes - it flashed.
He knew he was beyond the limits, he was too harsh. Jimin actually had no faults at all, it was just Jungkook taking everything way too seriously from the beginning. But his pride wouldn’t literally allow him to say sorry that fast after dissing Jimin like that. He knew that Jimin actually cared so, so much about him.
JImin was just looked so taken aback and he glanced out the windows. He saw the others were already approaching the van so he didn’t have to get off the van. He then gazed at Jungkook and nodded firmly, mumbled a small okay, before moving from his original position that was beside Jungkook to the farthest position from Jungkook.
Jimin was really hurt. Beyond hurt, even. He knew probably he was being overreacting and dramatic, but really, he was just trying to act nice to Jungkook. He was offering him some mineral water, god damn it, what he got in return was a completely harsh sentence with a glare that could kill.
Am I really annoying to Jungkook, he once asked to Taehyung with some frustration could be felt in that sentence. He gave me a vibe that he really, really dislikes me.
No, Taehyung said with reassuring gestures, you know he’s just having puberty.
He got the same answer from Hoseok and Seokjin. But he knew that puberty wasn’t really the real conflict of these all. It was his fault to cling at Jungkook from the start - when the other boy already showed that he didn’t like Jimin from the beginning, too. It was him to blame, to expect that Jungkook would opened up to him.
But well, expectation is the root of all heartache, wasn’t it right?
Jimin didn’t even notice he was crying - hard until he was being a sobbing mess. He didn’t know the frustration summed up all these weeks made him like this. Or maybe just because of that certain someone that rejected him and asked him to leave him alone.
Seokjin, being in charge of the eomma in the group, was starting to worry at Jimin.
He knew that Jimin always practiced the hardest and left the practice room the latest, but he always came home to the dorm no matter what. Even though his practices ended like 1 AM, he still caught a bus to come back home to the dorm. But after awhile, Seokjin eventually noticed that some nights Jimin never came home and he was just sleeping in the practice room.
Seokjin then knew too, that slowly Jimin’s body was falling apart. Of course, having it slept for only an hour or maybe only a half hour, danced so hard that it pained your limbs, waist, and other parts, sang loudly in a hyperbole way that made your vocal cords ill, performed live, exercised with those dumbbells in the gym, and entertained your fans with your actions would make your entire body fell apart.
Jimin ate his food only a little too, saying that he was already full. He looked beyond exhausted and lost so much weight, but he carried on. He actually looked so pale, but thanks to the camera, no one except the members and the staff members knew he looked that lifeless.
There must be something behind it all, Seokjin noted, because Jimin loved his body too much to hurt it like this.
Seokjin confronted Jimin the other day and asked his reason behind these all, but Jimin kept on saying it’s okay, I’m fine when Seokjin knew that it meant that he should worry more. Even though Jimin said he was really, really fine, Seokjin wouldn’t and couldn’t believe. Seokjin could only sighed and told him to go rest, and Jimin only smiled widely and said yes loudly, still sounded energetic.
The comeback date was getting nearer and nearer - even though Jimin was so ready, remembering how he practiced everyday, what if in the stage he suddenly fainted? That would be frantic.
It was only a matter of time before Jimin’s body fell apart, and all Bangtan members secretly knew this fact.
“Namjoon, do you know why Jimin’s like this? Maybe you heard something from the manager about some family problems, or anything?” Seokjin asked the leader after awhile - not really figuring out what was the problem behind Jimin’s change.
“No, hyung,” Namjoon said, trying to figure it out too. He noticed that too, of course, all Bangtan members realized it. “I know he works hard, yes. I already talk to him about it but he kept on saying he’s really fine, he just suddenly loves dance more than usual. What crap is that?”
Seokjin’s sharp eyes then flicked around the room. Taehyung was sitting in the corner, drinking tea by himself, not even offering any hyung. Earphones on the ear and one hand on the screen of handphone, the other holding the cup of tea. That brat.
“Taehyung-ah,” Seokjin called, sitting beside Taehyung. Taehyung heard, and being a good dongsaeng he was, he put off the earphones and turned to Seokjin.
“What?” Taehyung noticed the atmosphere Seokjin was bringing with him was a serious one. So he sighed, realized what was coming. “This is about Jimin.” It was not even a question, it was a mere statement.
Seokjin still nodded, nevertheless, and continued, “I know you’re close to Jimin and sometimes he talks to you about his problems, right? So you must be the one to know what is actually happening with Jimin these days and why the hell does that brat practice so hard? Everybody knows that he is enough, no, more than enough.”
“I don’t know hyung. I talked to him, he seemed like he has a problem that no one can’t talk about it with him,” Taehyung sighed, then mimicked Jimin, “I know Tae, that you care about me and understand me, but I think this time I’ll keep it to myself.”
“I warned him that his body is obviously breaking apart, and he laughed, how can my body break apart when I exercise everyday? That jerk,” Taehyung said with a frustrated sigh released, “I think he has a problem with someone. My guess is Jungkook, but I am quite lazy to confront Jungkook about it. With Jimin in the practice room nearly everytime, I somehow think that he avoided a certain someone.”
Seokjin’s eyes then glimmered with realization. “Jimin doesn’t even bother him anymore when he came home. They seemed distant these days, oh right, this actually makes sense. Thanks Tae!”
After some time, Jungkook admitted to himself that he was quite.. lonely. He missed Jimin’s annoying presence, but warming. Jimin could melt his heart and cracked a smile in his mouth. Jimin could scold him for something but laughed afterwards. Jimin and him could have fun together with no care in this world.
But he felt like he had broken Jimin into pieces.
He eventually realized that all these time Jimin didn’t come home and stayed in the practice room, Jimin was somewhat avoiding him. He knew he was a really, really cruel jerk for saying that sentence out loud with an intonation like that. But despite the whole self-reflection, he didn’t say sorry to Jimin.
I am such a douchebag, Jungkook thought. The good-for-nothing bastard that acted like this to a hyung that cared so much about him.
Hoseok and Taehyung stayed late that night. Hoseok asked Taehyung to review his new arrangement for BTS’ next album and maybe they could write the lyrics together tonight. At first Taehyung made fun of Hoseok’s music, because it was just not his style, but it actually sounded fine. So they came into an agreement and wrote some lyrics together while having fun.
Out of a sudden the door was being unlocked from the outside and Jimin came in, looking pale and exhausted as hell.
Taehyung and Hoseok stopped everything they were doing and literally ran to Jimin. Hoseok was getting some water for him and Taehyung held him to his room. And that bastard still could say that i am fine Tae, who do you think i am.
And Taehyung just replied with you are park jimin, the weakest man in the world and also the stupidest i have ever known. and now you’re burning like hell, jerk.
Jimin just laughed, but then passed out in Taehyung’s arms.
Jimin woke up with a very, very exhausted body and mind. He knew he looked like shit, he was sure as hell. The first thing he woke up to was a Seokjin and a bowl of porridge in his hands.
“I told you so.” Seokjin remarked, with a sarcastic tone and Jimin just could smiled awkwardly. “Your body has your own limits you little jerk, you don’t even listen to me.”
“I know, sorry hyung,” Jimin apologized with a cheeky grin but then coughed. He then glanced at his calendar and today was marked group practice for comeback - so important! and he panicked. “Hyung, then how about the practice? Okay I’ll just eat this porridge, slept like for 3 hours and went to practice, okay?”
Seokjin rolled his eyes, and pushed Jimin to his bed again. “Forget the practice, you idiot. You stay here. Rest well, and I will make sure that you rest and not being a bad kid - dancing in your room while you’re bedridden like this.”
“You will not know, anyways,” Jimin whined, he just had the urge to dance after doing that for just avoiding a certain someone. He became somewhat addicted and he couldn’t do that today, “You guys will be practicing for the whole day and you won’t really know whether I dance and exercise or not in this dorm, hyung.”
“I know you’ll say and do exactly that,” Seokjin answered, but smirked eventually, “that’s why I make someone stays today and not practicing. I already told manager-nim about that and he agreed, so no excuse, you bastard.”
Jimin’s eyes looked lost - Seokjin’s victory smile was getting better. He continued then, “And you know who’s that?”
Jimin and Seokjin made an eye-contact and Seokjin could literally sensed some fear in Jimin’s eyes - fear of being taken care by the certain someone he had avoided these days. Jimin watched as Seokjin’s mouth parted, and said,
“Jungkookie.”
With that, Seokjin left a frustrated Jimin with a bowl of tasty chicken porridge he had made.
Not so long after Seokjin left Jimin, his room’s door was opened with a hesitant move. Jimin that was unwillingly eating the chicken porridge glanced up and tada, Jungkook was there with some medicines and water. “Morning?”
Jimin stared as hesitantly as how Jungkook moved, and said with a slight shaky, “Morning.”
“You know what, Jungkook,” Jimin started, staring straight to Jungkook’s eyes with a really heavy feeling, “you can leave me alone and join the others to the group practice. After all the thing you want is just to be far away from me, right? I understand that, and respect that request of yours that night, so if you feel like I’m a really heavy burden to you, to be taken care as of today, then don’t do it. It’s so simple.”
“Hyung, it’s not like that,” Jungkook sighed, but his pride stood too high to say sorry at that moment.
“Then what does it look like?” Jimin tiredly went back into a sleeping position, the heavy feeling stayed there and refused to go anywhere, making him felt more ill than he actually was. “I know Jungkook, that you are here just because Seokjin-hyung and Namjoon-hyung told, no, forced you to. You have no other intentions, right? So just leave, Kookie-ya. I know I have bothered you so much.”
Jungkook really, really tried to argue but Jimin’s persistence to usher him to leave him alone was much stronger.
“Finish your porridge and eat your medicine, okay, hyung?” Jungkook said one more time and Jimin exhaustedly nodded nonchalantly.
“Why did you come back and not stay in Jimin’s room?” Namjoon growled, because how could his and Seokjin’s plan fail like this. But he was sure as hell that Jungkook still had some self-conscience inside of him, deep down.
“Don’t you know that you are the main cause of Jimin’s body like this? The real cause of why he practiced that hard everyday, every night? Don’t you know? You won’t admit your own fault?”
“Hyung, stop,” Hoseok warned Namjoon, but after staring at Namjoon’s eyes, he knew that his leader just put up an act in front of the maknae. Well, served him right. Hoseok then stepped out of this and glared at Jungkook too.
“I know,” Jungkook just hung his head low, and stared at the floor in their dorm like it was the most interesting thing existed at the moment. “But-”
“I don’t want to listen any buts, you listen to me?” Jungkook had no choice but to nod against Namjoon’s harsh tone which actually made him quite scared, “I don’t really want to meddle in between you two. And whatever problems you guys have that makes Jimin like this, I hope you guys solve this together today. We all don’t want to see Jimin or maybe you to slack off between the practices just because any internal problems. The comeback date is getting nearer and nearer, you know it. You hear me?”
“Yes, hyung,” Jungkook hung his head lower and lower.
“I know you can catch up well with practice after this. Just take care of your hyung well, just like how he always treat you.”
Namjoon smirked, and with something that sounded like warning, Bangtan members were off for practice.
Jungkook went in to Jimin’s room again, to find a sulking Jimin was eating the last spoon of his bowl of porridge.
“Hyung,” Jungkook called, earning Jimin’s attention. The latter was just turning his attention to the glass of water Jungkook had brought to him before and drank it.
“Why are you here again?” Jimin said with thick frustration could be heard clearly, extremely tired with Jungkook. “I think I have made my points clear, that I want you to leave me alone as hard as you want me to leave you alone. Okay? You know it yourself that this thing - me getting bedridden is half of your fault, so you might as well just go with the others and practice.”
“I know that,” Jungkook said, guilt in his voice and a frown was displayed in his face.
“So if you already know, then what are you doing in here, you bastard,” Jimin sighed, just wanted the alone-time and maybe slept. He was really, really tired and he just needed rest. “Go. Leave.”
Instead of going or leaving - Jungkook took a step closer to Jimin and sat on an empty space on the bed, that was right in front of Jimin.
“Hyung, look,” Jungkook became frustrated too, but trying to argue anyways. “I am really, really sorry for what I said that night. I really crossed the limits, and I am so rude to you. Like, rude as fuck. But you know all these times I am just having my mood swings and I am just so sorry. It was supposed to be a whiny sentence but the intonation - it suddenly just came out so harsh and I was taken aback too.”
Jimin stared at Jungkook’s eyes to find sincerity in them and found lots of them. Then he just became silent - because what were people supposed to do after someone was apologizing to them? Jimin didn’t really know.
All these times, Jimin was always the one apologizing when he was involved in a fight with someone. He really liked peace and happiness, so he didn’t really care whether who was really in fault for the fight, and he would just apologize first.
But in this case, this fight with Jungkook, he just realized how kind-hearted he was. He was always the one apologizing first and forgiving, and never the way around. Couldn’t he be selfish for just a fight, one moment? He was really, really tired dealing with Jungkook and all the harsh words and flat-out rejections. He, for this one fight only, was just plainly selfish - to hear Jungkook apologized first.
And when he finally got it, got the exact words he wanted to hear from Jungkook’s mouth, he was lost. What to do, what sound to make, what kind of look to stare.
So Jimin just motioned Jungkook to sit right beside him in his bed, and Jungkook complied happily. Jimin was obviously soft-hearted and a gentle guy, so he couldn’t be mad for Jungkook for a long time - no scratch that - he couldn’t be difficult to Jungkook for a long time. He was never got mad, he was just somewhat disappointed and upset - with himself, maybe. And Jungkook knew that fact much.
When Jungkook already sat beside him, they stared at each other and Jungkook was the first one to open his arms with a cheeky grin, but still the atmosphere of forgive me hyung sorry i really am was still there.
So Jimin hugged Jungkook and snuggled closer in the way, and Jungkook whispered some apologizing words some more, right to Jimin’s earlobe.
He felt ticklish by the action, but he liked having Jungkook like this, in his arms.
“By the way, you have to eat your medicines and wash up a little. Your breath stinks hyung, you know that.” Jungkook broke out the hug just to say those honest, straight-forward words, and Jimin just smacked his shoulder. Jungkook just laughed, and seeing his cute eye-smile, Jimin had no other option then to join him and laugh happily. They hugged again for awhile, and Jungkook said one thing with worry and concern felt sincerely.
“But you’re still burning up though,”
Jimin broke the hug to see the expression Jungkook had while saying that. Jungkook frowned and placed a hand on Jimin’s forehead. Jimin looked at Jungkook carelessly and swatted his hand from his forehead.
“I know that already. And please can you excuse me from your overwhelming embrace so I can go to the restroom?”
“Yes, yes, please.”
“Jungkookie~” Jimin screamed from the bathroom, making Jungkook who was making Jimin’s bed ran to the bathroom. “The water is so cold! Help me I’m suffering from hypothermia,”
“You’re so dramatic, hyung,” Jungkook rolled his eyes, full of sarcasm. “Sorry, I forgot to turn on the water heater. You can turn it on yourself, though, instead of screaming the life out of you,”
A split second after that, a wet Jimin was hurriedly coming out from the bathroom and closed the bathroom’s door neatly. The towel was just hanging loosely, like Jimin hurriedly wore the towel.
“There’s a fucking flying cockroach there, Jeon Jungkook, you have to know that. Don’t ever open the bathroom door, shit, I’m so scared.”
“Flying cockroach?” Jungkook’s brain had to process it first, then becoming scared too. “Oh my. Let’s just go to your room, get dressed, and sleep ‘til lunch. Okay?”
Jimin chuckled at Jungkook’s sudden fear - but then went into his room and got fully dressed.
“Jungkook, it’s cold,” Jimin was trying to sleep for some minutes now, but he kept on shivering. Jungkook that was staying on his side could actually do nothing to him but felt bad. “Are you sure that the air conditioner already turned off? The door is already being closed?”
“Already, hyung, so sleep,” Jungkook then caressed Jimin’s hair softly, the action did some comfort. But Jimin needed more warmth than comfort as he kept pulling his blanket to the top of his head. “Wait, don’t pull the blanket too high or there’ll be no air circulation, and your fever will stay. I have come up with a solution.”
“What?” Jimin whispered, not really having the energy, but still the coldness was too much for him to handle.
Jungkook slipped in beside Jimin on the bed, and hugged Jimin from the back - transferring his own body heat for Jimin. Jimin felt funny feelings in his stomach, like butterflies but what was he thinking.
“Already warm, right?” Jungkook asked for reassurance and Jimin nodded slowly in his arms. “So let’s sleep.”
Jungkook woke up, feeling something sticky was in his forehead. He was debating whether it was a bug or what, but he snatched it and it was a post it. He felt stupid, of course, but whatever. He should be the one that took care of Jimin but why was he the one sleeping?
In the post it was written something, it was Jimin’s handwriting by the way. You really have the worst choice of words and worst intonation ever to diss someone, you rude asshole. I’m still your hyung, whether I’m annoying or not. Whether I’m short or tall, you dimwit. Am cooking lunch, whether you like it or not.
“This hyung, he should’ve just let me cook for him,” Jungkook hurriedly fix his hair and went out to the kitchen - greeted by the delicious smell of samgyetang.
“So you’re already awake, prince charming?” Jimin was teasing him in a playful tone and Jungkook immediately ran to him and checked his temperature with his hand.
“Your fever hasn’t gone yet,” Jungkook sighed and took the cooking utensils from Jimin’s hand forcefully. Jimin just stared at him strangely, pouting, but sat on the dining chair though. “Why are you cooking? Why didn’t you just wake me up and tell me that you’re hungry? You are pushing your body again, you know, you’re still ill.”
“Aw,” Jimin sweetly stared at him, making he slightly disgusted and gazed weirdly at Jimin. “You are so cute when you’re nagging and caring. It sounds, hm, nice,”
“It’s not supposed to be cute, but whatever,” Jungkook then carried on with the cooking, and a comfortable silence formed between two of them. He then served the samgyetang on a hot bowl and gave it to Jimin. “I think it tastes tasty. Well, I cooked it.”
“You mean you partly made it, you bastard,” Jimin scoffed but then coughed endlessly, and Jungkook had to run taking water for him. “I halfway, no, third fourth cooked it and you just only stir and added some touch.”
“Okay, okay,” Jungkook admitted, then somewhat complained, “You know, today I feel like your personal servant. But I know I deserve this for making you like this, so,”
“It really hurt my heart you know, your words,” Jimin started, sipping the hot soup to just complain about it afterwards. And he continued, “Like, don’t you have any other choice of words instead of that? Like, leave me alone amongst of all? And the intonation, fuck, so harsh and cold and distant. Sounded like no one I know.”
“Sorry, hyung,” Jungkook replied, still quite ashamed of his actions toward his hyung. “I don’t even know what took over me that night. Maybe I am just feeling exhausted and the mood swing is just - unbearable? You know I actually love you, right, hyung? I hope you can taste it in the soup I one-fourth made.”
Jimin’s heartbeats quickened - he was feeling warm all of a sudden.
“Hyung, are you burning again? Why are you so red suddenly like this?” Jungkook stuck his forehead to Jimin’s forehead to check Jimin’s temperature, since his hands were busy occupied with stirring the soup.
Then Jungkook held his breath for a moment, realizing how close they were at the moment. Jimin even looked down on his food instead of staring at Jungkook’s eyes.
Jungkook then pulled away and then caught his breath again after holding it - then said, “Hyung, you’re beautiful.”
“Stop teasing me!” Jimin half shouted, then covered his face with his two palms because he swore his face was so fucking as red as tomato. “Why are you suddenly complimenting me like that?”
“You’re so cute!” Jungkook kept on bombarding Jimin with endless compliments after that, and came closer to Jimin to tease him more.
“Ah come on, I haven’t even eaten a half of my samgyetang, bastard!”
“Who even told you to stop eating? No one, hyung, no one.”
Jungkook soon realized, he really liked this, Jimin and him interacting happily and laughing together cheerfully like this than sitting alone in the floor quietly with music blasting from his earphones. He loved this.
“Why are you staring like that at me, you creepy idiot.”
“Yes, this creepy idiot is only staring like this for you only.”
Jimin’s face reddened immediately, and he quickly buried it with his small palms, afraid of Jungkook’s unforgiving and endless teasing.
But today, exceptionally, Jungkook wasn’t in the mood to tease Jimin, so he took off Jimin’s palms so his beautiful face wouldn’t be hidden.
Jungkook leaned in and whispered something directly to Jimin’s ears, that reddened a bit if that was possible.
“You know that you’re beautiful, right? You’re not annoying, you’re not awful, you’re not made of endless flaws. Your flaws make you you, and you’re more than enough to me. I hope you won’t go far away from me or leave me alone, because a day without you sounds hellish already.”
Jimin really wanted to kiss him, here, but he was in the middle of year-end music award all-stars final performance.
So he just smiled, and squeezed their hidden linked palms, and said,
“Thank you.”
