Come to my journal for (surprisingly not) mad libs!

Or stay in yours, if it has black text on a white background.

Here's the deal: I don't have the coding chops to give you truly interactive mad libs (I have... a few html tags, plus the "Preview" button), so you're going to need a writing surface & implement. You provide the missing words, then highlight to read the complete text, filling in your additions as you go. You know the drill.

Ready?

__________ (salutation) __________ (your name),

I was ___________ (verb ending in -ing) about the ___________ (noun) of your 580. ______________ (adverb), it was supposed to be [handed in] _______________ (expression of time when) , but I haven't ______________ (trans. main verb in past perfect) anything from you. _______________ (adverb), it would be ___________ (adverb) _______________ (adjective) to have the paper in time for second-year __________ (noun). With your otherwise _______________ (adjective) _____________ (noun) and your imminent (but hopefully temporary) ___________ (noun), there should be no _______________ (noun). It's still important, though, __________________ (trans. verb in infinitive) the _____________ (noun) to make sure that your _______________ (noun) in the program (should you decide so) goes as ____________ (adverb) as possible. Please let me know when you plan _________________ (trans. verb in infinitive) the ___________ (noun).

Best,

______________ (name of an authority figure)

Know only that your version is probably less surreal than the stunningly deferential original.
