So, sadly, the image-streaming that I mentioned previously overloaded my brain, and I died. Okay, I didn't die, but I had trouble sleeping and felt awful. I stopped doing it (I was managing about 12 minutes at a time) but still felt pretty bad. Well, it turns out that one of those days, I took the wrong pill at bedtime (niacinamide, which helps give energy, instead of phosphatidyl serine, which makes me calmer), which resulted in another bad day. Eventually, I asked my therapist about image-streaming, and she says that I should be doing 5 minutes a day maximum because of my brain injury. Also, it made me give up my previous method of falling asleep (playing a very boring video game), which doesn't work when I don't feel well. I've seen reading suggested, but if I am reading anything worth reading, then it keeps me awake. I looked at a couple of meditation apps, but both relied on listening to voices (boo!) and were expensive (boo!). Instead, I decided to fall back on my training from 2nd grade (or something like that) and just work though a meditation on my own. It works just fine (and will be even better when I get my shit together a little more and eat at the proper times).
My brain damaged reared its ugly head again today. I have started rating songs for my top 100 list for 2020. However, I had a problem right at the beginning with the ranking program that I wrote last year. I know what the problem was, but unfortunately, I can't keep it in my head long enough to actually figure out a solution. Instead, I just wrote a little bit of code to work around that problem, since it only happens (I think) in a very specific situation. Still, I bet there is a better solution. I just can't focus enough to think of it. This is more or less what the problem with visual imagination is. I can't hold an image in my head for very long. In theory, this is the same problem I face in a variety of areas. If I could get my brain to function better, I might see improvement in a variety of areas. Well, we'll see what happens.
Anyway, the menu. As usual, mine is the same as last week. Of course, we are at the time when it is hard to get certain foods, because of the holidays. So, having smoked salmon on my list is more like a wish rather than a plan.
