We have another roommate (so there are now two girls living in the other room that shares a kitchen and bathroom with us). They are both super super nice! One is American, and the other is from Turkey.
In other news, we're working on preparing for all the big tests we need to take to get our residency. There are three parts: Russian language, history, and laws. I just realized that the law section is like a giant list of frequently asked questions about the residency permit. I'm kind of wondering if they actually just took the FAQ and used that as the question set. It is useful, but the legal language is a bit much (in Russian, of course). I'm writing out all the questions on index cards, and some of the questions and answers seem pointlessly convoluted. On the other hand, we want to live here, so we need to jump through the hoops.
I'm feeling kind of crappy and worn out, but the end is on the horizon now. Also, we've got a week of vacation starting in four days.
