School Update and more
I've just finished the test for the section on "Insulators, Conductors, And Batteries". So far, I'm enjoying the course. I've done well on the tests and definitely feel like I'm learning. The next section is practical exercises. I can do some of them without the shipment of stuff I'm waiting for from the school, so I'll see about trying to get through three of the exercises tomorrow.
The last week has been super busy, so I haven't worked on Russian as much as I would have liked. However, the rest of the month is more low-key, so I should be able to make more progress. I also have my grammar books and the dictionary now, which helps. Plus, Sasha has given me a list of words to work on.
In non-school news, the girls seem to be back to normal. Cobweb looks a bit beaten up still, but she is no longer covered in blood. Crazy chickens! The podcast contest is going much better than I could have hoped. It has gotten 11 more "likes" on Facebook, and lots of people have voted. Maybe I'll have time this week to update the iTunes feed, as I'd like to get more shows up there. I'm in the process of dyeing my hair back to its "natural" color, purple. Once my face finishes healing from the train-induced ("you didn't shower for how many days?!?") skin problems, I'll update my icon. So, yeah, not a ton going on but I'm generally doing pretty well.
