Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Third Dream Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Forwarded to late night

[Written; Near night time (Paprika isn't visible as she isn't imposing her image)]

I hope everyone has a good dream tonight.

[It ends there. She won't be answering anyone who tries responding. If anything it's only a precaution, so no one can say she didn't warn them. Even if she didn't make herself obvious - it wouldn't be much of a surprise if ( Read more... )

[The dream centers on the two boys playing their game for while, it doesn't take too long though for it to be clear that the other boy will win.]

Geeze, Vash. I told you. You have to think more than just one or two moves ahead. [It's said in a friendly, teasing manner.] You're never going to beat me if you just move without thinking it through first.

[Vash in turn laughs that he's apparently loss again with a smile.] I know, I know.

Here, let me show you want you did wrong. You were doing good until a few moves ago when you left your queen wide open. [The other boy moves the pieces around to a few moves ago. Only as he does it, the pieces turn slowly into butterflies and spiders.]

The problem is you want to save all the pieces, Vash. You can't save every pawn. [With a causal tone the other boy reaches out and kills some of the smaller spiders representing the pawns.] But you just can't do that. Sometimes you have to make the smallest sacrifice you can, so the stronger pieces can live. Like us.

[Vash meanwhile can only stare down at the chess board. Not scared just yet, it was only a game of chess, wasn't it? Yet, those spiders were real. When did that happen? He quickly reaches out and grabs his brother's arm.]

Stop it, Knives! Stop it! Please!

[Knives looks up confused.] But you'll never win if you don't do this.

I don't care! Just please stop!

[The other boy leans away from the game.] Okay, Vash. We don't have to play against each other any more.

[Finally the woman speaks as the boys attempt to catch the butterflies and spiders that are running away and place them back in the game box.] I know, how about we head to that galley and make some donuts! Then we can work on adjusting one of the Plants? Does that sound like a better idea?

[Vash looks up to the woman with a smile.] Yeah, Rem! Can we?

Jeez, Vash. You're such a pig. [The boy laughs and gives Vash a playful shove that Vash returns.]

Shut up, Knives! You want some too!

[...Oh Vash. Were you really like this as a child. Paprika shakes her head, but she has to admit to some degree it is an admirable view. Even if the pawns were just pieces of plastic. Paprika quietly transforms her body to that of a fairy, as she notices the woman ushering them away. If she was going to keep up her observation she would have to do it a bit more in stealth.

So once they begin to leave for the galley, she'll follow behind slowly.]

WHOO! Time wasn't completely wasted! goldenglasses July 11 2011, 00:47:24 UTC
[The boys practically jump up and down as they follow Rem to the kitchen area. The door opens and the room is filled with donuts. Vash pretty much goes running and jumping into the pile with Knives following close behind him.

Follow him as he goes swimming and eating into the sea of donuts?]

[...Wow. This dream could give her a bad case of sugar rush, just by looking at all the donuts in the room. Kind of crazy. She'll follow though, not particularly hungry yet, and fly through the donut land while following Vash.]

[Eventually the donuts turn to sand and Vash is full grown again. Just laying in a sea of sand and staring at the sun.

He sits up and looks around, but it's empty as far as he can see. Nothing but sand and two suns. He pulls his knees up and so he can rest his head on his hands.]

[The change is sudden, even for her, and she is left wondering what happened. She looks around the desert area and tries to remember. Didn't Vash tell her once...of how he dreamed of a desert land? No, it wasn't even a dream. That was back when those bastards messed with their histories. So, this is his past.

She opts to change back to normal and slowly approaches him, choosing to sit by his side.]

It's a beautiful pair of suns, out there.

They are pretty. [He looks around confused for a moment.] But it's not right.

It isn't? Why is something pretty not right?

The suns are pretty, but this is all dry. So hot and dry. It's... not right. [He stares. He can't seem to put his finger on why it's not right. It seems somehow right, and wrong at the same time.]

Hm, I see. The intense heat probably causes a lot of problems. Is it like this everywhere then? Just a long stretching desert?

Yes. [The answer comes quick. But then he squints his eyes in thought.] No... it's not suppose to. This can't be Eden. There's no flowers. There's suppose to be flowers.

I have to find Rem. She'll know what to do. I shouldn't just wait here for her. I should go find her. [He turns to go, but stops and looks back over his shoulder.]

Would you like to come with me? I don't think anyone likes to be alone.

Rem? [She questions, but then he turns back with the offer.] Well, alright. If you don't want to be alone, then I'll be glad to accompany you. [She slowly stands up herself and stretches her arms.] Where are we going to?

To SEEDs. [Because that answer isn't confusing.]

...That explains everything. [She says quietly and follows along. These seeds better be worth the desert roadtrip.]

[Luckily it doesn't take long until Vash spots something in the distance.] There she is! [Up ahead is the woman from earlier. She's down on her hands and knees. Planting flowers. All around her everything has turned green, colorful, and lush. She looks up at the two of them and smiles.]

Vash! There you are! I've been waiting for you! I thought you said you were going to help me? Oh! You brought a friend!

[Vash laughs at the woman's teasing.] Sorry, Rem. I just got a little lost for a little bit! And this is, oh, I didn't get your - [But as he turns back towards Paprika something in his memory stirs.]

...no wait, I know you... [It's not there just yet. Just on the edge of his dreaming mind. Almost like he just can't focus on this fact that he's missing.]

[As Vash quickens up the pace, Paprika follows behind and admires the lush green amongst the sand. It isn't until Vash turns to her does she make a comment.]

I'm Paprika. It's nice to meet you m'am.
