So that was...just a shift?

Unless you had dreams that didn't feel like implants, then likely. It's too much of a coincidence for everyone to be waking up in a cold sweat from their nightmares.

Then, does that mean you, too...?

- Oh! I'm sorry, even if you did, that doesn't mean you'd want to talk about it.

No, it's alright! My dreams are just jumbled up messes. I have to record them or else I don't think I could make heads or tails of them!

Really? That's strange. So they weren't scary at all?

It shook me up a bit, but I can't make heads or tails of them. More annoying that way. When people can at least understand what they are dreaming of it's better, but I don't know what to make of them.

Even when they aren't like that, I can't always understand my dreams.

Dreams aren't normally meant to be understood. Just interpreted. All the interpretations can be different too.

That sounds really complicated.

It is! But, I find some fun in it at least. A job like this can't be done if you don't like the subject.

Have your dreams been alright though?

That makes sense!

Aaah, they've been kind of scary.

I hope you haven't lost sleep over them then. This shift is especially irritating because they seem to appear no matter what sleep cycle we enter.

Sleep...cycle?

Yes. When you sleep you enter cycles of sleep. From light sleep to deep sleep and of course REM sleep, which is the time where you have the most vivid dreams. This shift may be affecting our sleep cycles as well as giving us bizarre dreams.
