Not a fun day at all.]Hello everyone, I hope you're staying indoors and keeping warm. 'When it rains, it pours!' as the old saying goes. Don't want anyone ( Read more... )

Nice to finally talk with you outside my dreams.

Oh! You're...the one who thought I was going to murder you. [A light, teasing snicker.] Bet you're glad to know I'm not in your head anymore.

[Giles is used to that tone - he replies cheerfully] Very. There's barely room for me sometimes.

How are you settling in?

You should clear your mind and make more room.

Fairly well. It's not the city, but it's something.

Provided you don't bring along a hunting knife, you can certainly visit.

And yes, it isn't the city. I'd say it barely constitutes urban. But under the circumstances, it's crowded enough.

And the scenery's nice.

Can I bring my machete instead then?

Must be over a hundred for sure and that's just what I saw as a scan. It would make a nice vacation spot if we weren't trapped here.

No machetes. As a matter of fact, I'd prefer it if you avoided any bladed instruments at all. It will make for a much less bloody dreamscape for both of us.

And I was thinking much the same thing. I don't think I'd mind being here so much if we weren't trapped. After all, there's no Hellmouth, and that's a decided improvement over Sunnydale.

Fine with me. I'm not fond of violence anyway.

...I'm going to guess that this Hellmouth wasn't very friendly. Don't know how anything given that name could be.

It's not. It's a convergence of mystical energies that usually serves to draw every demon and vampire within fifty miles to Sunnydale. And some from even further, if they already know it's there.

[...Woah. She's kinda surprised.]

If you said something like that back home, they would say you're pitching an idea for a movie studio or an episodic show. Tough life.

A television show?

Our lives would never make it to air. Too many deaths. The body count in Sunnydale is about as much of a concern as the football score.

Action shows with lots of violence are very popular in many places. Don't sell your lives so short.

If you say so. I don't watch much television, so I don't know what's really acceptable.

Typical bookworm. A colleague of mine didn't get out much either.

I wouldn't call myself a typical bookworm.
