In which Max plays bodyguard
Max arrived at Sam's building to find the place covered in police activity. At the moment, he considered that a very good thing, because with the information he'd been given, police would keep the abusive ex away for the time being, until they could come up with a better place for them to say. Though really, there wasn't a place more aptly fortified than something owned by the Winchesters -- against anything, really -- but a little extra help certainly wouldn't hurt.
He flashed his credentials and made his way through the building, keeping his mind on the objective at hand. 99 and Sam were taking care of the perpetrator, and he was assigned to look after Lisa and Ben. It probably wouldn't be easy, considering the situation, but he was willing to do his best.
Adjusting his tie as he knocked on the door, he waited patiently outside for Lisa or Ben to answer, hoping that he wouldn't have to jump through hoops to verify his identity.
