Vote Apathy in '08
We’ve got words to make you care,
But no one ever does.
A sense that life’s not fair
That filters from above.
We have so many causes;
They just cause apathy.
It’s hard to muster interest
In World War Ninety-Three.
The socialists will protest,
And the college dems will shout.
And everyone will walk away from
Things they don’t care about.
We have no superpowers so we can’t do anything.
If they fall to pieces, they’re nothing that we’ll miss.
We’ll make excuses for ourselves and pass the buck again,
And in the end we’ll wonder how
We’re the only ones still left.
