"You really should have come to Tulum yesterday," Sam said, as he walked down the hallway with Peter. "The ruins were awesome, and we got a tour and everything."

"See, that strikes me as being way too much like learning," Peter said. Though he was smiling over Sam's enthusiasm. "Get good pictures?"

"Possibly way too many," Sam replied. "I'll have to put them on my computer when we get back to town so I can show you."

"Anybody get zapped by a curse that turned them into a turtle?" Peter asked. Hey, on a Fandom High trip it could happen.

"No, but thank you for making me concerned that that's going to happen now."

Peter went to give Sam a friendly pat on the back. "What're friends for?"

Sam laughed. "Apparently, they're for scaring the crap out of each other."

"I was only trying to help," Peter said, giving him puppy eyes.

"Okay, that look shouldn't work nearly as well on me as it does," Sam said.

"It's okay," Peter told him. "I'm better than you. Admit it. It's healthy."

"Oh, in your dreams," Sam said, laughing again. "You know I don't like to lie to you."

"We're talking about lying to yourself," Peter said. "I'm worried about your levels of denial."

"I'm worried about your ego. I think it might be starting to take up too much space."

Peter snickered. "Hard to do, considering how much room you take up."

They were passing by room 8 now. The door was open and Peter's attention was caught by all the art supplies. "Huh."

Sam followed Peter's line of sight and stared. "Wow. Someone's been busy on vacation."

A.J. grinned a bit as he noticed the conversation that had progressively gotten louder as the other two made their way down the hall turn toward what he could assume to mean him. Either that, or he was missing something really freaking cool by keeping his eyes on his canvas. He smeared on a nice stroke of pale blue into the ocean before glancing over at them.

"Can't help it," he admitted. "Way too much new stuff to draw and everything."
