Birthplace/Heritage: Richmond, VA // Brithish/American

When he uses his powers, it either affects only him, or everyone else/thing around him. He'd like to be able to focus his energy on a certain object, so that it would help in battle.
Alias: (ex: Storm, Wolverine, etc.) Clockwork

Personal History: Tristian's mutation was not evident at birth. He was born relatively normal. It was a warm day, and Tristian came into the world around 3 PM, a beautiful, healthy baby boy. The labor went fine, the only problem being that it took an unusual amount of time. His mother named him Tristian, after her father, who had immigrated from Britain 40 years ago.

Tristian led a relatively normal life up until the age of five, when he powers first surfaced. His parents were going through a rather messy divorce and it really affected the young five year old. After the divorce was finalized, Tristian and his mother moved from their old home of Daytona, Florida to Richmond. A move that Tristian desperately didn't want to make. So, as his mother finally was able to drag him away from the front porch post of his old home, something happened. She slowed down. Amazingly. It was as if she wasn't moving at all. When he looked around, she wasn't the only thing that was barely moving. All of his surroundings were seemingly standing still. Everything that is, except him. He could move about normally. No sooner than it happened though, it went away. Everything sped back up, and his mother was astounded. Where she had once been holding her soon, now she was holding nothing and he was standing on the porch once more. Thus, his mother found out that her son was a mutant. This didn't really affect their relationship, though they did opt to keep it a secret from his father back in Daytona. Tristian soon discovered that he could slow down or speed up time whenever he concentrated all of his mental energy on doing so. It came to the point where his mother started calling him 'Clock' or 'Clockwork'. At the age of seven, a very special visitor came to his home, at the request of his mother. She knew that her son would be beter off going away and learning to use his powers for the greater good, so she contacted the Xavier Institution. One of the professor came and explained everything about the school, from holidays, to exactly the type of classes that he would be attending. The professor assured her that her son would still be taught the fundamentals of basic education, and that he would also be taught things that every child is taught all the way through his educational career. So, in the best interest of her son, she sent him to the school.

Tristian, or as most people at Xavier's called him, Clockwork, fit in rather well. He was well liked, and others looked up to him because of his power level. He developed quickly, soon being able to control his power for longer periods of time. When he first came, he could barely hold it a minute, but as time wore on, he came to be able to control it for much longer periods of time. First to five, then ten, and is currently is around 14 minutes. Also at the school he works constantly on his problem of not being able to focus his abilities on certain groups/a certain person. He is still working on it.

At age 12, Tristian's mother died. He was rushed back home, devastated by the loss. But, he also knew that his mother wouldn't want him to give up, and so he returned to school, having officially adopted 'Clockwork' as his alias, as his mother had been the first to call him that. He worked harder than he ever had before, and still continues to work hard.

At around the age of fifteen, he was approached by Professor Xavier, and was asked if he wanted to be on the X-Men training squad. Xavier told him that he saw great potential in him, and knew that he had a passion that some students lacked. He gladly accepted, and has been working with the other trainee students ever since.

As for his father, he still doesn’t know about Tristian’s special abilities. His father doesn’t exactly sympathize with Mutants, a fact that Tristian has to constantly deal with, seeing as the breaks when he isn’t able to stay at the school he has to go and stay with his dad. He is often talking about how mutants are inferior to humans, and he tries to push this opinion upon his son. Tristian is afraid to tell his father about himself, for fear of losing the only real family that he still has.

Personality: Tristian is a normal teenage male.

First off, he is very active. He isn't one to sit still for extended periods of time. Classes that are not hands on tend to bore him, and he usually ends up doodleing on his paper or something to that effect. It isn't that he doesn't want to pay attention, its just that he seems to have a small attention span for things that don't require him being active.

He is also very loyal to those he considers friends. He would take a beating for one of his friends if the situation called for it. His friend's happiness is far more important than his own, along with their safety, health, and basically just about everything. He would be completely and utterly lost without his friends.

On that same note, he is insecure. He is always thinking that he isn't really good enough. A lot of this stems from his father, who, even though he doesn't know it, degrades Tristian. He is constantly trying to find ways to make himself better, as to feel better about himself. Unwanted thoughts enter his mind sometimes, and he wonders if his friends really like him, or if they are just putting up some sort of front to keep everyone happy and the drama to a low key.

He is also very determined. He hates having to leave a job or project only half finished. He gives all he's got to get things done. He tries his best to give 110% in most things, unless it happens to be those things that seem to not hold his attention. He doesn't see the point in giving up, which is why he is still working on improving his powers, even though he has been at Xavier's almost ten years.
Strengths:
-Martial Arts
-Defense Exercises
Weaknesses:
-Pretty much anything aerial. He can't fly the X-plane, he can't even jump very high.
-He isn't really the 'leader' type. He can do well in the battle simulations, but usually only if someone else is giving him directions. He is fine with this, but he also knows there will probably come a day when he will HAVE to take charge, and he only hopes he can improve so he will be able to handle that day.

Fears:Physical Description: Clockwork stands at around 5'10, weighs around 140 pounds, has green eyes (which occasionally look blue or grey) and sandy blonde hair. While he isn't dark, he does have a nice tan most of the time.
Body Model: William Moseley

Alignment: He wants the humans and the mutants to all just get along!

Sample RP:

Crap.

He'd really screwed up this time. The one time that the professor gives him the chance to lead the squad, they get their butts handed to them on a silver platter. He'd probably never get another chance like the one he'd just screwed up...and that really bugged him.

He'd done just fine in the simulations when he was taking orders from someone else, so why couldn't he lead the team to victory? He couldn't figure it out, and that was bugging him, too.

Maybe I'm just not cut out to be a leader, he thought to himself as he walked down the hallway toward his dorm.

He nodded, thinking that was probably the reason. He was okay with that, some people were just meant to take orders. Apparently, he was one of those people.
