Another "I wasn't expecting that" moment
So my three year old LOVES to watch t.v. any chance he gets and usually tries to argue when we turn it off (usually we ask him to turn it off and he's a little better about it). He has several Disney shows that he particularly loves (Phineas and Ferb most specifically) and is constantly asking for more when he knows the episode is about to end. Today, however, something unusual happened. He was pretty much finished with his lunch when he informed me that he had a mission to go save Phineas and Ferb from the big tunnel (there was a T-Rex dinosaur in the tunnel that he has to save them from). He then got down from his booster seat and promptly goes over and turns off the t.v.....without me asking him to turn it off. It isn't very often when he chooses not to have the t.v. on while he's playing. But it's quite unusual (as in almost NEVER happens) that he turns off the t.v. on his own. And did I mention that he abandoned two cookies on the table to go play?? I love it when he does the unexpected...it keeps me on my toes.
