Please respond:
As a perscriptive linguist, if I feel that the irish dialect is the correct way to speak english, am I obligated to speak with that dialect?

Hi everybody, long time no see.

Do you know what I hate?  I hate World of Warcraft.  I hate FFXI as well.  Videogame Addiction  There are better uses of your time.  These things include:

I disagree.

I used to play WoW and I had a good time doing it.

I already know how to play guitar, and I play once a week or so.

I study quite a bit, and I do pretty good in my classes.

I've never liked playing sports, unless you call lifting a sport.

None of my friends live in Michigan and a few that live in other states or countries play WoW. These are military friends, not people I met online.

I read as much as I can, specifically the Wheel of Time series which I love.

Now, dagohir seems like an extremely weird activity. While it does afford some actual exercise, I couldn't see myself actually running around with a sword in real life.

I meet girls all the time, but a relationship isn't what I want, esecially with such young girls.

MMO's aren't that bad, I used to have the same position as you until I actually tried WoW. Yeah, i'm not playing it any longer because I found it to be a huge time-sink where not a lot really got done. I play EVE-Online, which isn't an RPG but it is an MMO and a lot of thought goes into playing the game. It doesn't take a lot of time to play it either, which works out for my schedule.
To each their own I always say. As long as my game playing doesn't interfere with other's lives then I see no problem with it. While I am studying, there is no better way to take a break then to play a game.
Sorry, I just had to reply to your rant with a rant of my own :)

See, but you don't play anymore. And if you did, I'd respond with this:
But think of how great you could be at guitar if you spent all your time playing WoW, playing the guitar instead. You'd be phenomonal.
Again, if you studied instead of playing WoW (especially if you did it for 8 hours a day) you could do even better in your classes. Maybe you could even be a validictorian.
Certainly playing WoW is a bad way to make friends who live in Michigan.
You could read even more if you didn't play WoW.
How is playing a game where you pretend to fight with swords better than actually doing it? That's like preferring NBA all stars to actually playing basketball.
You might meet girls all the time, but I know that a lot of people who play MMORPGs don't.

Ian, I miss having you in my SI.

I was valedictorian. Even with my MMORPG's.

Although, there are a million things we do every day that we could replace with doing something more productive. Watching television, writing in livejournal...um, etc.
