I keep meaning to check LOGH but the sheer size of the series is daunting^^ Good to know you liked it.

I caught up due to Takarazuka, since they put on a musical version of the first season :) It's definitely worth the time investment, though you really start seeing that once you get through at least the first season, because the amount of POV is staggering. I'm not kidding about 100+ named roles with speaking lines. I think we get backstories of something like 50 people.

I admit that I like the look of the main blond character. His story reminds me of Gerald Tarrant from Coldfire, except more tragic perhaps.

I think Reinhard and Tarrant would get along, in an "exchange shampoo tips and possibly draft for intergalactic warfare" kind of way, but what I love about Reinhard is that he's a Machiavellian military genius and a very young man. His sense of humour is positively wicked :) And his sense of honour, iron-clad. In Coldfire terms, if Gerald and Damien had a kid...

Alphas hasn't been on my radar at all - it's the first time I've seen it mentioned. The premise sounds... like every action anime ever, really.

(And Leverage season 5 is adorable. The flashback to the 70s was worth it just for the facial hair alone.)
